Small batch ceramics started as a creative outlet and quickly became something we loved sharing with others.
Each piece is inspired by nature and handmade, embracing the natural imperfections of the pottery process. Are the pieces Dishwasher and Microwave safe? Yes! :)Do you ship nation-wide? Yes
Smallest box = North Island $14.00 (excl rural) South Island $19.00 (excl rural)Do you ship to Australia? I am looking into it currently. Easiest option looks like PayPal.Can you make custom items? Yes however the process can take around 6 weeks as it will be fired once there is a kiln load.What is the process of making pottery?
Well... Starting with designing the piece (considering shrinkage of 12%), weighing clay out for each piece, wedging , throwing, drying, trimming and branding, more drying, prepping and checking over each piece for the kiln, packing the kiln for a bisque firing... (24 hours in the kiln). Unloading the kiln, cleaning and prepping each item to glaze, glazing each item, packing kiln for the glaze firing, (24 hours in the kiln). Unloading the kiln (All going well, the best part of the process), checking each item, sanding to save your bench. Photography, pricing, marketing, processing and packing orders. Putting all the seconds/duds away for myself or for gifting (forcing) onto family and friends regardless of how ugly it is.
